Bio: Audra will be starting her first year at Sullivan University. She has attended Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio for her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. Audra continued her work at Walsh University as a Graduate Hall Coordinator and received her Master’s in Education. This will be Audra’s fourth year in higher education at institutions in Ohio and currently Kentucky. Outside of work, Audra enjoys spending time with her family and fiancé, anything sports related, sewing and embroidering and spending time outdoors. Audra will be getting married at the end October

 


 

Jeremy Hicks
Hall Director

Brief Job Description: The Hall Director (HD) is a full-time professional within the Department of Housing and Residence Life at Sullivan University, Gardiner Point Residence Hall. This live-in is responsible for supervising staff, managing initiatives, and collaborating with campus offices/departments. They will lead residence operations in a way that creates and maintains a positive, multicultural, learner-centered community embracing Housing and Residence Life’s Programming Model and living/learning philosophy.

Collaborate with the Resident Directors (RDs) and Director in the supervision of residence staff. Conduct regular one-on-one/group meetings with supervisees around the Programming model. Communicate and promote University and residence Hall policies and procedures including those found in the Policies and Procedures/Housing Manual. Act as hearing officer for student conduct process.

Bio: Jeremy is originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama and earned his B.S.E. in English/Language Arts from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He traveled to the University of New Hampshire to obtain his M.A. in English Literature and has worked as a resident assistant, a substitute teacher, and the graduate assistant for the UNH Office of Conduct and Mediation. After graduating, he made the move to Sullivan as the new hall director for Gardiner Point. He enjoys traveling, playing guitar, writing, rollerblading, rock climbing, and practically anything active. He is looking forward to working in residence life and getting to know the residents of Sullivan University.

 


Lauren Kelly
Administrative Assistant

Brief Job Description: The Administrative Assistant provides office and clerical support to the Director and Associate Director of Housing and Residence Life and is an integral part in assuring the productivity and efficiency of the professional staff within Housing and Residence Life.

Bio: After graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Louisville, Lauren worked as a Marketing Coordinator which entailed organizational and administrative skills. Lauren was born and raised right here in Louisville, so she knows all the ins and outs of the city. Her love for the local community and support for higher education is what makes her a perfect fit here at Sullivan. Lauren is married to her high school sweetheart, Richie, and has a sweet pup named Mia. In her free time Lauren likes to workout, spend time with her family, and eat sushi!

 


Resident Advisor (RA)

Brief Job Description: RAs are a select group of four student leaders who have been specifically trained to assist residents in on-campus residential areas. RAs are a crucial link between their residents, the Office of Housing and Residence Life, Student Services professionals, and other campus departments. RAs are leaders who work to ensure student safety in the residential areas, facilitate interaction, plan social and educational events, serve as a resource, and report maintenance issues in the facilities. Resident Advisors serve as mentors to our new students in situations common to the first-year college experience. General issues of adjustment and transition, as well as the more specific areas of community development, roommate relationships, policy enforcement, and intentional relations all fall under the wing of the Resident Advisors. RAs have six primary roles: peer helper, resource/referral agent, educator/programmer, community builder, policy enforcer/explainer, and leader/role model.

He is part of the American Society of Interior Designers, International Interior Design Association, Skills USA, Student Activities, and is President of the Diversity club at Sullivan University.
